ELECTION NEWS: Gunmen Kill Two APC Chieftains in Rivers

Gunmen have killed two staunch-men of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the violence prone state.

This was made known by the Party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Chris Finebone in a statement. Finebone alleged that the party chieftains, Chief Mowan Etete and Ignatius (other name yet to be made known) were attacked by members of the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

He state that late Etete was former chairman of Andoni local government area council while late Ignatius was an ex-official member of his party in the state.

In his words:

“PDP thugs have shot to death an APC chieftain in Asarama, Andoni LGA, Chief Mowan Etete. Etete was a former council chairman.

The APC dragged the PDP’s national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus into the matter.

“Also, killed was his elder brother and another victim that is believed to be his cousin. It’s instructive to note that PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus is from Andoni LGA in Rivers State.

“Ignatius, an ex-official member of APC Rivers State Executive committee, was also shot to death in Ajakaja, same Andoni LGA of Prince Secondus.”
