ELECTION NEWS: APC Chairman Shot Dead
Ward Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya, has been killed by unknown gunmen.
Confirming the Incident, Police spokesman in the state, SP Mohammed Shehu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the state Commissioner of Police, Celestine Okoye, had visited the area.

However, he reiterated that the unfortunate incident had not disrupt the conduct of polls in the area.
Also, Chairman of Tsafe Local Government Areal, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar told newsmen in Gusau on today that Yahaya was killed alongside another party supporter, with four members of the party sustaining various degrees of injuries.

’Those who sustained injuries in the attack have already been admitted in the hospital for treatment.
‘’We are appealing to the security agents for more intervention in the area and the state at large; we are also appealing to people of the area to remain calm, as they come out to vote for candidates of their choice.”
In a similar incident, the APC in Rivers State has raised alarm that gunmen have killed two of its staunch supporters in the state. The APC publicity secretary in the state, Chris Finebone made this known to newsmen on Saturday.
