LGA’s Chairman’s Father Kidnapped in Bayelsa

Gunmen have kidnapped the father of the Chairman of  Sagbama Local Government Area in Bayelsa State, Mr. Wellington Magbisa.

According to Channels Tv, the victim was abducted in the early hours of Sunday, 7 March, 2019. Describing the incident, an  eyewitness said the kidnappers numbering at least five men came heavily armed, broke into his residence through a window and forcefully whisked him off.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer in the state,  Butswat Asinim, said that the kidnappers gained entrance through an unprotected window before they abducted the victim.

In his words, ”Five men came in through an unprotected window, captured him and escaped through the waterways.  All sister agencies have been alerted to rescue the victim and also arrest the captors.”
