EFCC Plans to Witch-hunt Me For Atiku’s Campaign Money – Fayose

Immediate past governor of Ekiti State and dogged member of the People’s Democratic Party, Ayodele Fayose, has decried an alleged plot by the Economic and Financial Crimes commission to attack him over claims that he is in possession of cash belonging to PDP’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the polls on Saturday.

Fayose made this known via a tweet yesterday. He said that the Crime commission is plotting to invade his Afao residence in Ekity state this morning, Friday 22, February 2019.

However, the PDP staunchman said that is fully prepared and waiting for the commission.

The tweet read:

“Just heard that some officials of @officialEFCC are in Ekiti to invade my residence in Afao Ekiti early morning tomorrow.

“They are coming to search my house for @atiku election money. @officialEFCC, I’m here and waiting.”

Meanwhile, the APC had earlier raised alarm that the PDP is sharing monies in other to solicit for votes across the country, ahead of the polls tomorrow.

As you may know, Fayose has an outstanding case with the EFCC over matters bordering on lack of financial transparency while he was governor of Ekiti state.
