The only way to change Nigeria from penury – Tinubu
The national leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has revealed how he thinks Nigeria can change from penury into progress.
Speaking after a Prayer Programme hosted by Islamic and Christian clerics to celebrate his 67th birthday, Tinubu said:
“The only way to change Nigeria from penury is to fashion out our own organic economic strategy and plan that will continue to cater for all,”
Tinubu also praised his party, the APC, stating that by its accomplishment so far one would think that had been in power for twenty years not minding that is not up to six years.
“You will think that APC had been on for twenty years but is not up to six years.”– He said.
The national party chairman also stated that his party, the APC, was formed because of the need for a good alliance of progressive thinkers and believers in the ideology of common man.
“We went through compromises because we know that if we form a good alliance of progressive thinkers and believers in the ideology of common man, we will be able to serve the people.
“It is not by criticism alone. You have to have the opportunity to even change the life of the people and quality of their standard of living. – Tinubu said.
