Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s has come along way in his career from Race to Witch Mountain, to the movie, The Tooth Fairy, where he played the titular role.
He also voiced a god in the animation movie, Moana which a lot of children enjoy, even young adults till date. But we cannot fail to mention or deny the fact that wrestling is where Johnson got his start; this, got him to limelight and fame.
Now,18-year-old Simone (his oldest daughter) recently became the youngest person in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to sign with the company.
Last week Friday, during an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Johnson said his daughter is “the youngest signee in the history of the company”. Apparently, she has been training in the ring since she was 16 years old.
He also said that his daughter, Simone had to endure the challenges that new wrestler face while in training.
“She’s 18 now, at 16 she was working her ass off quietly under the radar, in the ring getting thrown around, you know, all the bumps and bruises that go with pro wrestling,” he told Fallon. “But she hung in there, and I’m very, very proud of her.”
WWE had announced on 10th February, 2020 that Simone signed with them and started training at its Performance Center in Florida. Here is a statement that was made then, by the Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development for WWE, Paul M. Leveseque (popularly known by his ring name as Triple H): “Not only does Simone now have an opportunity to cultivate and display her passion for WWE within the Performance Center, but she’ll carry on the tradition of her incredible family lineage while creating her own impact as WWE’s first fourth generation Superstar”.
Let’s watch out for Simone Alexandra Johnson in the ring… She may just take up after her father.
