My family and I are with the Ekweremadu’s over their travail. This statement was made by Peter Obi, in a tweet and it has been raising arguments online.

The presidential candidate of LP made a controversial tweet at the early hours of today. Unfortunately, the tweet got people talking. Most people are of the opinion that Mr Peter is in support of the organ harvesting of a 15 year old.

Recall that the Ekweremadu’s were charged for allegedly falsifying the age of a 15 year old. And taking him abroad for the purpose of ripping of his organs,  and transferring them into the body of their daughter. Who is critically ill and in need of a kidney transplant.

As a result of this news, the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Gregory Obi, made a tweet to sympathize with the Ekweremadu’s and also hope for a safe recovery for their child.

My family and I are with the Ekweremadu’s over their travail. We join all men of goodwill in praying for the healing of their daughter and commit them into God’s hand for justice to be done.

Most people are giving a different interpretation about the whole post given that Mr Peter sent his condolence.

But all he is trying to do is to be supportive and humane, especially since they have a sick child to take care of. But at the same time, he is also praying that justice is served. By doing that, it shows that he understands the plight of the child and is hoping that the child gets justice for the mistreatment.
