Couple in Trouble for Allegedly selling their child for 50k!!!!

A couple residing  in the llara area of Ode Remo, in Remo North Local Government area of Ogun state have been nabbed by the Ogun State Police command, for allegedly receiving the sum of fifty thousand naira in exchange for their  one month old child.
According to the police spokes person, the couple was arrested on the 16th of December by the Ode Remo Divisional Headquarters, after they were informed that the couple had sold their one month old baby to a woman who is currently on the run as at the time of filing this report.
According to the couple whom was arrested at their home, said a lady directed the buyer to them. The couple went further to explain that the buyer claimed to be coming from the Human Rights office, stating that she was sent to help them take care of the child, and then gave them the sum of fifty thousand Naira, before they handed over the baby to her.
The police is currently in search of the buyer to recover the baby and maybe other babies in her custody. However the state commissioner of police CP. Lanre Bankole has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the anti human trafficking and child labor unit of the state criminal investigation and Intelligence department for further investigation, citing that this is a serious offense knowing that child traffic and child labor is a serious crime punishable by the laws of the Federal Republic.
