Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidates of the People’s Democratic Party in the just concluded Presidential election, is happily married to four beautiful women.

- AMINA TITILAYO ATIKU-ABUBAKAR
Is the first wife of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Atiku during his early twenty’s met Titi, at Idi-Iroko Border (the border between Nigeria and Benin Republic).

The love between them sparked and they got married in 1971, at a very young age whrn Titi was only 19 and Atiku was 25.
She was his official wife (first lady) during his tenure as the Vice president of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
Titi has four kids with Atiku; Fatima Atiku-Abubakar, Adamu Atiku-Abubakar, Halima Atiku-Abubakar and Aminu Atiku-Abubakar.
His first daughter Fatima Atiku Abubakar is the current commissioner for health in Adamawa State.
Titi is the founder of Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF).
- Princess Rukaiya Atiku Abubakar
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar married Princess Rukaiya officially in 1983 as his third wife, although she later became his second wife following the divorce of Ladi Atiku Abubakar, the then second wife. Princess is the 13th child of late Lamido of Adamawa.
They have seven lovely kids, namely Aisha, Hadiza, Aliyu Atiku Abubakar, Asmau, Mustafa Atiku Abubakar, Lalia and Abdulsalaam Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku married his fourth wife Fatima Shettima in 1986 and she bore seven kids with him (two sets of twins inclusive).
They are Amina, Mohammed Atiku Abubakar, Ahmed and Shehu Atiku Abubakar, Zainab and Aisha, and finally Hafsat.

Follwing Atiku’s divorce with Ladi Yakubu, he saw a reason for replacement since the Muslim religion permits a man to marry a maximum of four wives.
The result of this replacement led to his marriage with Barrister Jennifer Iwenjora. Jennifer (now known as Jamila Atiku Abubakar) hails from the eastern part of Nigeria. A quick info, Before Atiku divorced Ladi Yakubu, they both had six children; Abba Atiku Abubakar, Atiku Abubakar Jr., Zainab, Ummi, Mariam and Rukayatu.
Below are some reasons Atiku married the four women he did, analysts predict:
His first marriage was a secret marriage because Titi’s family didn’t give their full support, so they had a secret wedding at a registry in Ikoyi.
He married his second wife Ladi Yakubu, because he grew up lonely, being an only child, and didn’t want his kids to grow up as lonely as he did.
Then for his third, this is as a result of flourishing business and the need to expand the empire in terms of human resources and manpower, hence the need for a third wife.
His fourth wife, We are not certain why he chose to Marry Jeniffer, but we predict her irresistible beauty played a part.
