Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has stated that he can not lose his re-election bid to any gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming election in the state.
Wike made this disclosure via a tweet on his official twitter handle on Thursday, 7 March, 2019. The PDP governorship candidate said this in the light that the main opposition party in the state; the All Progressive Congress, APC is barred from fielding candidates in the election according to a court ruling.
Although APC in the state has adopted the governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) gubernatorial candidate, Awara Biokpomabo, Wike said that in a free and fair election, the AAC won’t see his back.
According to governor Wike, The African Action Congress did not campaign in the state and it would baffle the entire world if they are announced winner in the gubernatorial election in the Saturday, March 9 election in the state.
