Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has followed up his announcement to provide free transportation and feeding for voters irrespective of their political parties.
The PDP staunch-man had earlier said he would not only provide buses, which he described as buses for democracy, he also said he will provide free feeding for the voters.
In a tweet Omokri shared yesterday, he also charged other wealthy Nigerians to follow suit.
Omokri said that the reason why he is spearheading the project is because he believes that as a result of INEC postponing the elections which had earlier been slated for last week Saturday, Nigerians may be frustrated and may have incurred loss of transportation fees.
Today, February 19, 2019 Reno Omokri revealed the details and processes of providing the election-aid for voters. He stated that the buses will be leaving from the Federal Capital Territory (F.C.T), Abuja to Kano State.
He further disclosed that the buses will leave on Thursday ahead of the polls on Saturday and eventually return on Sunday 24, February 2019. He also stated that the aid he is providing is non-partisan.
In the tweet, Omokri wrote:
“If you are leaving from Abuja to Kano to vote, Please email [email protected]
Include Abj-Kano in the subject.
Buses leave Thursday, return Sunday They are:
* Free to voters travelling for the purpose of voting
* IRRESPECTIVE of who they vote for”
