I will provide transport and food for Stranded Voters – Omokri

Ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omkri, has said that he will provide free transportation and food for voters who were stranded or lost money as a result of the failure of INEC to conduct elections that were scheduled for last week saturday.

Omokri who made this disclosure on twitter, said that he also charges wealthy Nigerians to do same, and described the buses as buses of democracy.

Reno Omokri who is an aggressive critic of the Buhari administration said that will will provide the buses between the Abuja to Kano route, but that he won’t end there. He said he will provide food for the voters.

In his words:

“Not only will I provide buses, but on the Abuja to Kano route, I will provide food for the journey IRRESPECTIVE of who you vote for.

I call on wealthy Nigerians to provide free Buses For Democracy for those who were frustrated by INEC postponement”

He further stated that he would make details of the processes for the aid known shortly.

As you may know, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had by 2:30am on Saturday 16 cancelled the elections on the same day it was slated for, even after assuring Nigerians that they were prepared.

The Electoral Umpire claimed that it was left with the difficult decision because of logistic reasons.
