Nigeria as a Nation can never be recolonized – CRA
The Honorable Minister of Transport Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (CON) addressed the issue involving Nigerian’s sovereignty been sold to the Chinese Government over a $500m loan.
The Minister in an interview with channel TV stated that nobody has signed out our country Nigeria. He insisted that a sovereign Nation is a sovereign Nation, hence can not be recolonized under any circumstances, therefore Nigeria can never be recolonized by the Chinese government or any other country.
Amaechi affirmed that Nigeria as a Nation must learn to pay there debts which is already ongoing and that hence we are paying, nobody will come and seize any of our assets.”
The Honorable Minister who further revealed in a tweet on Wednesday that “It is a standard clause in every loan agreement. That clause enables the lending country to go to arbitration. It creates an avenue for them to be able to retrieve their funds in the case of a default.”
“If therefore there’s an asset that has been mortgaged, they must be able to get to that asset. If you don’t waive that immunity, they cannot. It’s a standard clause in every international loan agreement, Amaechi added.
