Daniel Nwosu Jr. (Dax) Biography, Date Of Birth, Early Life And Education

Daniel Nwosu Jr. better know by his stage name Dax is a Nigerian-Canadian rapper and songwriter who became popular after the video of his single, ‘cash me outside’. Dax was born on March 22, 1994, in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador to Nigerian immigrants of Igbo ancestry. His family moved to Ottawa, Ontario when he was very young, and later Wichita, Kansas.

Prior to fame, Daniel Nwosu jr. had played basketball and was named MVP at the Sunrise christian Academy while in his senior season. He also played for  Casper College before heading to the University of Montana and eventually transfered to Newman University.

At Newman University he worked as a janitor, which he claimed was a job he liked because he was able to work on building his rap career in his spare time from work.

Before he delved into music full time, Daniel Nwosu jr. was already writing poetry and releasing freestyles on YouTube. He realized his passion for putting words together after he impressed one of his team mates with his poem.

Dax seriously began promoting music by dropping remixes of Tupac’s ‘All Eyez On Me’, ‘Changes’ and ‘Hit Em Up’. He also did a remix of songs by other artists like Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Rap God’, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ and the late XXXTentacion’s ‘Look at Me’.

However, Dax rose to fame after releasing after releasing the official video of his ‘cash me outside’ where he featured American rapper Danielle Bregoli. The song was released on February 2017, and quickly went viral, earning him over 1.5 million youtube subscribers in same year and currently he has immersed about 4.5 million subscribers as the time of writing this post. He released his first EP ‘It’s Different Now’ on August 22, 2018, on which he got features from O.T. Genesis and Futuristic. he also has another EP titled ‘F**k love’. the both of them were released under his label Daniel Dax entertainment.
