Socio-Cultural Group representing the People of Eastern Nigeria, Ohanaze – Ndigbo has advised Nigerians and the International community to stay calm following the announcement of Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the Presidential elections which held on Saturday.
Spokesperson of the Group, Chuks Ibegbu, disclosed that the National Executives of the Body will meet very soon to take a stand on the Announcement by INEC.

“Ohanaeze Imoebe and its National Executive Committee will soon meet and our position will be made clear on the outcome of the election, so this is all I can say for now.” , Ibegbu is quoted as saying.
You may recall that on February 3, 2019 the apex Eastern Group had endorsed the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar as its candidate for the the Presidential polls.

Meanwhile Atiku has officially challenged the outcome of the Presidential Result, heading to the Supreme Court to overturn the announcement by INEC.
