Why our isolation centres are not fully occupied!!!- Prof. Abayomi

The Lagos state commisssioner for health Prof. Akin Abayomi, said they go in search of #Covid-19 patients who run into hiding after their samples have been tested for Covid-19.

The commissioner speaking during a press briefing on Friday, the 8th of May, 2020. He said such patients flee their homes and often times switch off their mobile phones thereby making it very difficult to be reached. He said this is one of the reasons why the isolation centres within the state are not fully occupied.
In most cases after these patients have tested positive to the deadly virus, they flee there homes, the Ambulances will go into the communities only to find out, that these patients have left their homes and they make it really difficult for we to find them.
If you have tested positive, we expect you to be co-operative and make yourself available foradmission and proper assessment.
Our isolation facilities are comfortable and equiped with state of the art medical facilties, “unlike the Ebola days, we have made alot of improvements. Members of the executives and senior people in government have been admitted into those facilities and were fully managed to recovery. If I test positive, i will go into one of those facilitie.” He said.
