Why Buhari Brought In Niger Republic Governors During Kano Rally – FFK

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of Aviation under President Goodluck Jonathan has revealed why he thinks President Buhari brought in Two Nigerien Governors during an APC mega rally which held in Kano state on Thursday 31, January 2019.

Kayode disclosed that President Buhari’s move toward bringing in the external governors is targeted at rigging the 2019 elections across the country.

In a tweet, FFK said that :

“The same way they brought in two Governors from Niger Republic to be cheerleaders for @MBuhari at his Kano rally is the same way they intend to smuggle in an army of underage almajiris and illegal aliens from Niger Republic and Chad to “vote” for him. This time they will FAIL!

“The tree of liberty must be watered from time to time by the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is a natural manure to them – Thomas Jefferson.

“Nigeria take note. February is pregnant with many things. May God guide us.”

You may recall that governors, Issa Moussa of Zinder and Maradi State Governor, Zakiri Umar, both from the Republic of Niger, were on Thursday in Kano to rally support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election.

Meanwhile, justifying the move, President Buhari through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Ahmed, claimed that the two Nigerien governors were in Kano to understudy his leadership style.

The presence of the foreign personalities during the APC’s rally has drawn criticisms from the People’s Democratic Party who also claim that President Buhari is mortgaging the future of Nigeria.

A statement by the SSA on Media and President to the Nigerian President, Mr. Bashir Ahmed read in part:

Nigeria has been gifted with an honest leader, a man endowed with rare qualities and people are trying to copy that.

“If our neighbours from Niger come to witness how President Buhari is doing his politics, what is the problem with that? Is there any law that is broken? Or did they see anyone that will buy vote or collect PVC?

Buhari

“So, it’s jealousy. They are panicky and jealous. It should worry PDP that nobody is coming across the border to understudy them.”

In reaction, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has also said there is no crime if members of other west African Countries are present in the campaign rally of a party since they are not citizens and hence aren’t eligible to vote during elections.

In another development, APC supporters in Gombe surprised President Buhari when he visited the state for during for a presidential campaign rally.

On his arrival at  the Pantami Stadium, Gombe, the people of the sate welecomed him by chanting ‘Baba Oyoyo’ ‘Baba Oyoyo’
