The outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic has left a lot of youths unemployed and now more than ever we get to appreciate the little skills that we could have easily acquired to help us survive this trying times.
We wish to commend the construction of Dangote Youth Center in Kano state which is the largest in West Africa and any other individuals/government that have activated skill acquisition centers in various LGAs to mark this year’s World Youth Skills Day.
We urge the youths to take the pains and learn a skill today, either to advance your careers or Kickstart a business. The importance of developing skilled youth is at the core of this year’s message for World Youth Skills Day. There are several virtual courses focused on skills development most of which are free. Do take advantage of these platforms.
We would love to hear from you in the comment section. Tell us about a skill you learnt and how it is helping you break even in this era of COVID-19.
