Super Eagles Out of the AFCON Tournament!!!

The super eagles have had an impressive run in the AFCON tournament after a successive run in the group stage winning all three games.

The super eagles played Tunisia on Sunday 23rd of January. After a successive run , they were the favourites during the match against Tunisia.

They started the first have with a bad start with no shot on target and having less possessions.

Shortly after the start of the second half Tunisia scored a goal from outside the box. The super eagles continued with their bad form with lack of goal scoring opportunities.

Afterwards Iheanacho and Awoniyi were substituted and Iwobi and Frank Onyeka were brought in. With less than 5 minutes on the pitch Iwobi was sent off for a bad challenge on a Tunisian player .

With 10 men the super eagles pressed harder and got some chances but we’re unable to score. In the final minutes of the extra time Sadiq had a chance to score but shot it wild .

It was a very big upset for the super eagles after their performance in the group stage.

With such a big upset the Super Eagles will need to be prepared and put in more effort when they face Ghana in March for the World cup playoffs.
