Duncan Mighty has just released his first single for the year 2019. The Singer who bounced back from oblivion last year titled his new track “Amaechi Nu Wike”.
Without much explanation you could guess the theme of the song which is titled the names of two top controversial politicians in his home state of Rivers State; Amaechi and Wike.
Duncan Mighty in ‘Amaechi Nu Wike’ calls for peace and reconciliation between the two Rivers politicians. Wike is the incumbent governor of the south-south state under the People’s Democratic Party whereas Amaechi is current Minister of Trasnsportation under the All Progress Party Political Party.
Duncan Mighty released ‘Amaechi Nu Wike’ amidst the politcal imbalance in the state which made INEC suspend elections in the state.
The singer sang mostly in his indigenous dialect of Ikwerre and spiced it up with pidgin english. We said ‘I get Minister and Governor’ and also mentioned all communities that make up the Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality in the new song.
Duncan Mighty who is also known as Port – Harcourt First Son is famous for singing about Indigeneous Matters surrounding his state, Rivers, and also on political issues affecting rivers Indigenes, as well as standing out for his Ikwerre roots.
