Obaseki Family endorses POI for Edo Gubernatorial Election
The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu on Saturday received some of the prominent members of the Obaseki Family led by Mr. Osaro and Victor Obaseki at his residence in Benin city the Edo state capital.
The aim of the visit is to drum support for The APC candidate ahead of the Governorship election in the state. They were equally joined by some of the Political appointees of the current Governor and the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Governor Godwill Obaseki, to collectively pledged their support for POI.
In their words, “Generally, the Obaseki’s have their own way of doing things. The different branches of the Obaseki family, we are supporting our brother, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu. We will do all our campaigns for him fully, without let or hindrance.”
POI in a tweet, commended there visit, says he is very grateful to them for their courage and selflessness. “They have even gone ahead to produce and donate beautiful face caps as a demonstration of their love and support,” he said.
He further stated that it takes great love for State & the people to make such brave decision to sideline all sentiments and ties and back the better candidate.
I’m not going to disappoint them and millions of Edo people at home & in the diaspora who, on a daily basis, reaffirm their love and support for me and my team, he added.
