The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, (NNPC), has pleaded with Nigerians to debunk any report of an impending Petrol scarcity in the country.
The commission made the call on Thursday, 11 April, 2019 via its GGM, Group Public Afairs Division, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu.
As you may know, with the recent scarcity of fuel in major city’s of the country, there have been predictions of an impending fuel scarcity in the country.
NNPC narrated that the said rumour was only sponsored by mischief makers who plan to create undue panic in the fuel supply and distribution matrix across the country.

The corporation insisted that the fake report claimed that the impending fuel scarcity will be caused by refusal of some oil marketers to lift products from depots.
The Oil giant, however, revealed that over one billion litres of petrol were in stock while imports of 48 vessels of 50 million litres each have been committed for the month of April alone.
It further assured Nigerians that there was no need for panic buying or hoarding of petroleum products in anticipation of scarcity while restating its commitment of selling petrol at a regular price of N145 per litre.
