Notice of Caution: Imo State APC Stands Against Illegality

The Imo State APC, under Governor Hope Uzodimma, takes a firm stand against illegality, disqualifying Adonis Nick over unresolved impeachment issues and reinforcing party integrity.

We have known Gov. Uzodimma Imo APC as a law-abiding group. The governor has salvaged the corrupt elements so far in Imo APC and sworn not to allow outlawed entities to have their way in our party. Hon. Macdonald Ebere (PhD), our able party chairman, is working hand in glove with His Excellency to make sure our party has no dents, especially through the people who are eager to become one thing or the other with the help of our party.

Bringing our party to this level of serenity cost us much, so we cannot allow illegality to have its way at this slim time. I first condemned the attitude of the party in Egbema WARD C and carefully called for the suspension of the party chairman in Egbema WARD C over his negligence in foreseeing that the impeached Adonis Nick obtained our party (APC) Nomination and Expression of Interest form to contest for the Ohaji/Egbema chairmanship election, thereby putting our party in a bad light.

I know the party will not allow him to go through other processes, but we in the APC helm in other WARDs have frowned upon the lackadaisical and carefree attitude by the party chairman of Egbema WARD C for not pre-informing the party before this time. It is the duty of the grassroots to report back to the state about what is happening in their environments.

Our party is not a party built on illegality or corruption; our party is a party built on trust and a solid firm of law and order. Our general leader, Gov. Hope Uzodimma, #PeoplesGovernor, was a legislator and knows the implications of gross misconduct of law and order and what impeachment is all about.

It is pertinent to note that one of the candidates for the Ohaji/Egbema chairmanship election from the Egbema Clan of Ohaji/Egbema LGA, by the name Prince Adonis Nick, is an outlawed personality banned from contesting in any legitimate poll (election) in Nigeria as his impeachment process was not vacated by any competent court of law after 90 days of expiration.

It is careful to note that Adonis Nick was impeached by his colleagues, “the former elected local government councillors,” during the Rescue Mission government of His Excellency Rochas Okorocha. Adonis Nick was elected alongside:

– Hon. Longinus Ordu
– Hon. Chigozie Ohiri
– Hon. Stanley Aguguo
– Hon. Unamba Stanley
– Hon. Obinna Ezidinwa
– Hon. Ifeenyirinwoke P
– Hon. Onyenwoke Chris
– Hon. Egbule Daddy
– Hon. Andrew Emerenini
– Hon. Ali Cyprian
– Hon. Ogbuji Junior
– Hon. Chuks Ihezuo
– Hon. Stanley Uchegbulam
– Hon. Longinus Orie
– Hon. Nmata Ifeanyi

Several of these Honourable members are today active members of our 3RAPC (including Adonis Nick), who can attest to the impeachment of Adonis Nick. From the 8th of January 2019, Adonis Nick ceased to be addressed as an honourable man.

For record purposes, Adonis Nick was impeached for the following reasons:

– Lateness
– Absenteeism from sittings
– Arrogance
– High-handedness to fellow honourable councillors
– Lack of effective and efficient representation
– Misappropriation of legislative funds
– And many more

The party, being a party established under the process of law and order, should as a matter of fact disqualify Adonis Nick and sanction him for trying to manoeuvre and outsmart the conduct and laid down principles of the party in Imo State. Hence, he should provide us with his court vacation order.

In the same vein, I call on our LGA party chairman to caution the WARD C party chairman for his negligence in his duties as party chairman. Nevertheless, anybody that uses Adonis Nick as a running mate is as well condemned in the eyes of the law.

With us here are the paper proofs of his impeachment, signed by almost all of his colleagues. Not even one could stand in his favour. This is how bad Adonis Nick appears to be.
