Kogi State is Covid-19 Free – Kogi State Government

The lock-down imposed on Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State due to suspected Corona Virus cases, has been lifted as announced by the Governor, Yahaya Bello in a statewide broadcast.

He said the decision was taken as test results of all samples taken by health workers turned up negative. By this, he declared Kogi State, COVID-19-free; nevertheless, urged residents of the state to adhere to the protocols of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in order to curb the spread of the disease.

Previously, the Governor had imposed a 14-day total lockdown in Kabba-Bubu, to which movement and house-to-house distribution of palliatives to residents were restricted and directed respectively, within the local government.
