ex-governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has reacted to governor Wike’s Re-election for second term.
The PDP former governor stated that Wike’s victory is showed that Nigerians were capable of defeating ‘tyranny’ threatening democracy.
Fayose made this known through series of tweets on his handle. He said that Governor Wike’s Victory is just the beginning of more victories over the “forces threatening the survival of democracy in our country.”

The post read:
“I congratulate my friend and brother, Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike and the entire people of Rivers state for this sweet and historic victory over those forces of evil who for their own selfish reasons turned the state to a killing field.
“That the people of Rivers State stood by Governor Wike and the PDP even in the face of death is a sign that Nigerians are capable of defeating tyranny and this will just be the beginning of more victories over the forces threatening the survival of democracy in our country.”

You may recall that governor Nyesome Wike on Wednesday 3, March 2019, was declared winner of the gubernatorial elections in Rivers State, defeating the governorship candidate of the AAC, Biokpomabo Awara , with 886,264 votes to one hundred and seventy three thousand, eight hundred and nine votes.
The AAC was backed by the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the State.
