Breaking: Buhari In Kwara For Campaign [VIDEO]

President Buhari has just arrived the Kwara state capital, Illorin, as part of his campaign tour to drum support for the All Progressives Congress ahead of forthcoming elections across the country.

The president arrived the Yoruba state at about 11:30am and will be canvassing for support from people of the state. In a video shared on twitter by the President’s President’s aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, Buhari’s convoy is seen moving in the streets with supporters running alongside chanting praises and support to the president.

Earlier, the All Progressive Congress (APC), in the state had said that they are prepared to receive the president and all committees and subcommittees have been mobilized for a smooth campaign rally.

This was made known by Alhaji Moshood Mustapha, Chairman, State Working Committee. Mustapha expressed optimism that the campaign would be a huge successful because the President’s works across the state are speaking for him and that the people who are beneficiaries of these works would come out en masse to graze the visit.

Mustapha said that the Ilorin-Jebba road which used to consume the precious time of motorists plying the route has been fixed due to the president’s  intervention on the road.

Mustapha further revealed that the people of the state who are beneficiaries of the Social Invest Programmes of the Buhari administration are expectant to meet the president and express appreciation to him for impacting their lives.

Also, he pleaded with the people of the state to stay calm, peace loving and compose themselves before, during and after the visit.

The campaign will be held at Ilorin Metropolitan Square and was staged to commence at 10am today.
