Breaking: Deji Adeyanju Freed from Prison after 78 days

Famous Nigerian Political activist and relentless tormentor of President Muhammadu Buhari, Deji Adyanju has regained his freedom from the Kano central prison seventy-eight days after his arrest.

You may recall that Deji was arrested on November 28, 2018 by the officers of the Nigeria Police Force while leading a protest tagged ‘Police Are Not Politicians, Save Our Democracy’ in Abuja.

The new month will be a remarkable one for the activist as he was released today, Friday, March 1. Addressing Newsmen briefly after his release, before taking off to Abuja, He said that his release from prison is long overdue, claiming that as he had been granted bail by Kano court.

Deji was also arrested on December 13, 2018 by men of the Nigeria Police Force, on allegations bordering on Murder, from a 2009 case and disturb of public peace.

He was however granted bail on February 13 by a Federal High Court in Kano, but only got released today, March 1, 2019.

Further addressing newsmen in Kano, Deji said that the reason for his arrest was for the Federal Government to silence him in the build up to the presidential election.
