ELECTION NEWS: Teenager loses ear, others Injured during Buhari’s Victory Celebration

A celebration at Nassawa area in the Bauchi metropolis turned bloody when political thugs, suspected to be Sara Suka hoodlums invaded the supporters leaving many injured, with one teenager Muhammad Harisu losing his ear.

Speaking to newsmen, 19 year old Muhammad explained that  he only came out to the streets to celebrate the victory of his preferred candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, following the outcome of the presidential elections when hired political hoodlums attacked him, and other supporters.

He said that they never did anything to attract the unwarranted attack, noting that many people were stabbed. Muhammad said he was approached by four of the hoodlums bearing various dangerous weapons and machetes.

He said they attacked him with machete, cut his  left ear, back and hand. He further narrated that he wanted to escape but it was already late so he rushed to a nearby chemist where the wounds were covered with bandage to stop him from bleeding.

Muhammad said he was later taken to the Tashan Babiye hospital by the state police where the wounded ear was further treated.

In his words:

“Though, I can hear with that ear but it was not very clear and I feel severe pain “.

Responding to the incident, the Police Spokesperson in the state,  DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar said the incident was true. He said the police in the state received a report by 4:00pm that supporters of President Buhari were celebrate over his victory in the just concluded election  in Bauchi metropolis

But that some group of youths suspected to be Sara Suka hoodlums attacked the unarmed supporters with  machetes and sticks, leaving at least three persons seriously injured.

The Police PRO said that so far, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack.
