The Nigerian presidency said that they are trying very hard to find the remaining missing girls from CHIBOK Borno State.
It’s seven years now since Boko Haram kidnapped 276 students of Government girls collage, Chibok. According to the statement, ‘the plan of releasing the remaining 112 girls that are still missing is ongoing’.
The government is hopeful based on the recent decisive push the military did against the terrorists, that the possibility of breakthrough might be high. They added that Nigerians should pray for the military for the work they have been doing so far to end the insurgency for the people and free all the people that are still being heard hostage.
If you will recall. it was on the 14 April, 2014 that gunmen broke into the school and took away a total of 276 students. This incident however put Nigeria on a global news, as the entire world media was on this issue, that dragged the attention of the international community to the country, with the hash tag #BringBackOurGirls.
Following that kidnap, many more has happened including the Dapch kidnap 2018 which Leah Sharibu is still held captive, 300 students of Jangebe in Zamfara State, that happened a few months back and a few others.
