In the late hours of wednesday, 21 October, Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on twitter, prayed against a repeat of the recent tragedies across the nation, over protest to end the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Police brutality and bad governance.
My heart goes out to all the victims of the Lekki shootings, and also the policemen and all other men and women who lost their lives in the past few days in different parts of Lagos & other states.

He also wrote on his twitter handle that he had visited some survivals of the Lekki Massacre, at a hospital in Lagos State and commiserated with victims of the shootings, including policemen and others who lost their lives in other parts of the state and the nation at large.
I spoke to some of those in hospital. The pain of these terrible events is palpable in our towns and cities, and some losses are irreplaceable, but we can and will get justice for all of them. I stand with Lagos & all other affected states in these trying times.
