The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that all tertiary institution in the state will be reopening on the 14th of September, 2Lagos020.
The governor said this, during his briefing on the state’s response to Covid-19. He also said, they are not certain, but all secondary and primary schools are scheduled to reopen on the 21st of September 2020.
Remember the Nigerian Government closed all schools including University, Secondary and Primary schools on the 26th of March, 2020 to prevent the rapid spread of Corona Virus in the country. However the Federal government after due consultations, earlier this month reopened the schools for exit classes, to allow them prepare and take their Examinations, so they can move to the next level.

The Lagos state government also told parents and school administrators, that this decision is subject to review based on the on-going model and the procedures that will be released by the state ministry of health, in the coming days. He went on to add that Bars, Spas, Lounge and night clubs still remains closed until further evaluations.
He also said that restaurants can now open for “In-dining service”, but must maintain 50% maximum occupancy at any point in time.
