Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye has said the team is in high spirits ahead of the Sudan encounter in the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon.
Okoye said the Super Eagles would defeat any team in the tournament if they stick together.
The Nigerian representative will face their Sudanese counterpart in the second match of Group D on Saturday at the Roumdé Adija Stadium in Cameroon.
Speaking with Nigeria Football Federation Television (NFF TV), Okoye said that lessons from their first match would help the team spirit against Sudan
Okoye said that with a good team spirit the Eagles are ready to face any team in the tournament.
“First of all, I’m looking forward to good points and also having a clean sheet is also a good sign of good defending and competitive spirit.
“I saw a good team in the Super Eagles from behind, I was the goalkeeper against Egypt and I think we performed well collectively.
“We need to stick together on this level and, with this, I am sure we can beat any team.
