Elder Hopeson Mezieuzor, national leader of Wike Community, has slammed Hon. Emeka Bekee for falsely claiming that Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule and 26 Rivers State House of Assembly members defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Mezieuzor challenged Bekee to provide records proving their membership, accusing him of failing to adhere to APC’s membership procedures and being out of touch with the party’s constitution.

While inspecting the Wike Community Secretariat in Port Harcourt, Mezieuzor dared Bekee to publicly present evidence of defection in line with APC protocols. He emphasized that Bekee, who claims to be the party’s chairman, should possess the required membership records. Mezieuzor went on to criticize Bekee’s ignorance regarding the party’s legal and procedural guidelines, particularly after a Federal High Court ruling affirmed the legitimacy of 27 lawmakers, asserting they did not meet the requirements for defection.

The national leader also cited the dissolution of Rivers State APC’s Executive Committee by the National Working Committee (NWC) due to anti-party activities, reminding Bekee that he was lawfully removed from his position. Mezieuzor concluded by urging Bekee to stop presenting himself as chairman, reiterating that Amaewhule and the others lack any membership status in the APC.
