His fight for this position is not about fairness but about installing his puppet, Obinna Ariaga, who is bound by a blood oath to Opiah. This maneuver ensures Opiah remains the de facto LGA chairman, despite not holding the official title.
Opiah’s manipulation of Obinna Ariaga is well-documented. During Owelle Anayo Rochas’s tenure, Ariaga, appointed through Uju’s recommendation, disclosed how his oath with Opiah has hindered his progress. This oath means Ariaga will prioritize Opiah’s directives over any official instructions, undermining the governor’s authority.

Contrastingly, Hon. Uju’s leadership has been marked by inclusivity and wisdom. He distributed political positions equitably across the LGA, empowering the indigent and providing hope to the hopeless. Uju’s decision during the 2019 general election to prioritize party unity over personal ambition exemplifies his good leadership.
It is crucial for the right-thinking individuals from Ohaji Egbema LGA to reject Opiah’s puppet, Obinna Ariaga. Supporting leaders who prioritize the community’s welfare over personal gain is essential for the region’s progress.
Opiah’s selfishness and manipulative tactics have caused significant harm to the Ohaji and Egbema communities. It is time for the people to stand against his influence and advocate for leaders who truly represent their interests.
