May I sincerely on behalf of my family, beloved indigenes of Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta & Oru-West LGA and indeed the good people of Imo State, thank Almighty God for granting me life and good health throughout the 9th Assembly. I represented the political and democratic interest of my Constituency diligently and with a sense of duty and service.

May I gratefully thank my supporters whom irrespective of State Actors intimidations that subverted our dear democracy and violated the rights of Citizens in their care, stood their ground and massively voted for us and the Peoples Democratic Party in the last general election. I am humbled by your unwavering support and courage which is undoubtedly commendable.
I want to use this medium to commiserate with all the bereaved families that lost their loved ones through the vices of persons in the corridors of power who desperately undermined the law in a quest to secure elective political offices, which power ordinarily resides with the people. My heart also goes out to our supporters and all those that sustained various degrees of injuries during the subsistence of the 2023 general electoral process.
I am sure many of us would recall how during the campaign and political activities that heralded the February Election, I, Hon. Uju Kingsley, was repeatedly attacked by sponsored security agencies. These attacks which were targeted at my life was averted by the grace of the Almighty and God willing we are here today, hale and hearty despite that several attacks were orchestrated and meted out on my home in Ohaji Egbema and several other properties that led to the massive destruction and loss of property. It is most unfortunate that the Security Agencies who primary duty is the protection of lives and properties resorted to destruction of same and illegal arrest and torture of innocent Supporters.
JUDGEMENT OF THE COURT OF APPEAL ON 2023 GENERAL ELECTION.
Today, I want to reiterate that as a Democrat, I have accepted the Judgement of the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division as a final Court dismissing our Appeal against the unlawful return of the Candidate of the APC as winner of the House of Rep election of February 25 which as we established in Court was marred with an unprecedented corruption of the balloting and electoral process.

It is rather sad that the procedure for converting votes into political power can distort the meaning of the general will and, worse still, produce a collective choice that violates the preference of the majority.
My unreserved sympathy to the over 112,310 eligible voters of the 250 polling unitsspread across the 3 LGAs of Ohaji Egbema, Oguta and Oru-West who were all disenfranchised due to the failure and neglect of the electoral Umpire to conduct elections in the said units. It is disheartening that this established fact did not sway the mind of the Court to order a supplementary election as prayed to enable these Voters vote the candidate of their choice.
Recent happenings in our beloved state of Imo deserve prayers from all wellmeaning stakeholders, hence I will continue to serve humanity in any capacity that will bring development to our beloved Federal Constituency.
However, hope is not lost, as we stoop to conquer.
Thank you, and God bless you.
