We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them. Nnamdi Kalu made this statement after he was denied bail. In his bid to reduce the destruction caused by his arrest, Mazi Kalu has asked his people to remain calm.
The Indigenous people of biafra’s leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kalu made a video to address his people. He made this video on the 28th of June 2022, after he was denied bail.

Unfortunately for the group, the plea for bail was rejected by justice Binta Nyako of the federal court of Nigeria. Details as to why Nnamdi Kalu was denied bail haven’t been given yet, but we are hoping for a more indepth explanation.
Nevertheless, the leader of IPOB has sent a message to the people of Biafra. And he is asking them to be calm and also not cause more problems for themselves.
It is not what we expect. But I want our people to be very calm, I want Biafranland to be calm and very peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people not to kill them
We are fighting to defend them that’s why I am here. And we will continue to do so until we get victory.

The IPOB leader made this statement still in custody. It is surprising how calm he is about it, he is also trying to be strong for his people.
He is urging the entire republic to drop their weapons and try to stay calm and peaceful. Obviously, the way they handle the situation determines how long he will be held in custody.
