Why Buhari Can Never Islamise Nigeria – Osinbajo

Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has said that there is no way President Muhammadu Buhari can Islamize the country.

Osinbajo who was also the Pastor in charge of the Lagos Province 48 (Olive Tree provincial headquarter) of the Reedeemed Christian Church of God, Ikoyi before his inauguration into office as the Vice President of Nigeria disclosed this while addressing Nigerians during his unique Family Chat at Kurudu, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He said that the reason why it is impossible for Buhari to Islamize the country is because, there are over 20 Christians who are currently in Buhari’s cabinet with only  18 that are Muslims, pointing out that even the Head of Service (Winifred Oyo-Ita) is a member of the Living Faith Church A.K.A Winners Chapel.

With the recent suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen,  and ultimate replacement with Mohammed Tanko, there have been rumours making the round that President Buhari has an Islamic Agenda.

Defending his boss, Osinbajo said: “I have interacted with this man Buhari, he is an honest man, he has no intention whatsoever of imposing his religion on anybody at all.

“In our cabinet, there are 20 people who are Christians, 18 who are Muslims and our Head of Service (Winifred Oyo-Ita) is a Christian from Winners Chapel.
