Valentine Odili-Akponor: The Man For ONELGA Constituency II [SPONSORED]
Valentine Odili-Akponor junior is an astute entrepreneur, philanthropist, fashion designer and international business facilitator.
He is currently in the race for the seat of the Rivers State House of Assembly, in order to represent the good constituents of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni constituency II under the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Valentine was born to the family of late Chief Valentine Akponor and Mrs Kate Akponor from Ndoni in Rivers State Nigeria, He Graduated with a B.sc in Economics from the prestigious University of Calabar, Nigeria.
A fellow with the Institute of Corporate Administration, A trained corporate social responsibility expert from the famous Lagos Business School (LBS) and a known philanthropist.
He worked with the Rivers State Liaison Office, Abuja as the first Personal Assistant to the then Liaison Officer. He was later promoted to the position of Special Adviser on Protocol and logistics.
While serving in this capacity, Valentine started humanitarian services, flagging up the Valentine Akponor Foundation (VIF).
The goal of the foundation is to advocate for clean water supply to rural communities in the Niger Delta.
Toward the end of then Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s administration, Akponor resigned his position at the Rivers State Liaison office to pick up his grandmother’s fashion business.
He then moved to the United States of America (USA) where he teamed with other Nigerians residing in New York to form the Nigerian Investors Association of America, NIAA.
Valentine is well traveled and exposed. Valentine is also an ex-Chief Security Officer at the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government where he ensured the stability and return of peace to the region.
Odili’s Focal Point for been part of the 9th Rivers State House of Assembly include, but not limited to:
– youths and women empowerment: Honourable Valentine Akponor is driven by a strong passion to engage women and youths in vital decision making processes in his constituency;
– education: Valentine is set out to ensure the upliftment of the standard of learning facilities within ONELGA constituency I. Also, to Encourage teachers and lecturers in tertiary institutions in his constituency;
– infrastructural development: Valentine Akponor is set to establish good and quality road network and electricity especially in the rural communities (in rural);
