Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Majority Leader pays a courtesy visit to the Sports Minister

The Honourable speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP) Rt. Hon. Mubarak Mijinyawa on Sunday visited the Honourable Minister of Sport Barr. Sunday Dare at his office in Abuja.

The NYP speaker was in company of the NYP majority leader Hon. Najib Waziri and few other house members as the visit was to thank the Sports Minister for facilitating the approval of the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund by President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR).

Mubarak in a tweet on Sunday pointed that the sports Ministry is the host stakeholder in the establishment whilst the Nigerian Youth Parliament is the pioneer youth organization that advocated for the establishment.

In his address, the NYP speaker used the opportunity to appreciate his Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, the Honourable Minister and the Permanent Secretary and presented the new action plan of the Parliament to the Honourable Minister.

The Honourable Minister responded by stating that the ministry is excited by the positive response recorded so far since the NYIF was announced and encouraged the members of the NYP to be good ambassadors and supply correct and timely information about the NYIF especially to those in rural areas.

The Honourable Minister of Sports, Barr. Sunday Dare in his address commended the Speaker of the NYP for putting the Parliament together without having any crisis or conflicts and tagged the Parliament’s achievements thus far as tremendous.
