The executive Governor of Rivers State, Governor, Nyesome Ezenwo Wike, has threaten to lock-down the two major local government areas within the state capital if its residents continues to disobey the measures set up to contain the spread of corona virus in the state.
The governor said this earlier in the day during a state broadcast to mark his second tenure first year in office, he said we have observed that so many residents and businesses in the state have refused to comply with wearing of face mask or physical distancing, “which is a very risky and irresponsible behavior“-he said.
He warned that the full weight of the law will be unleashed on any person, group of persons or businesses that fails to comply with the set rules in the state, as this act might result to another strict lock-down within the two major LGAs of the state capital.
he concluded by saying that he is happy he has been able to fulfill most of his inaugural/campaign promises. He however reminded the state residents that corona virus is real and that twelve fatalities have been recorded in the state so far.
He charged everyone within the state to be more responsible with your health, observe all the basic rules, stay safe and be alive to fulfill God’s promises for your lives.
