Rivers State Government gets locally made Motorized Fumigators from the Ooni of Ife!!!

The Rivers State Government has received two motorized (locally fabricated) fumigation machines from The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II as his contribution towards fighting the Corona virus Pandemic in Nigeria.

Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has been fulfilling his promise of donating motorized fumigation machines to all 36 states in Nigeria. For the past one month, various states have been receiving theirs; the Rivers State Government recently as well.

Princess Fadekemi Fadojutimi, a Yoruba Monarch and member of Ooni of Ife Covid-19 Task-force, standing as a representative, said the machines, which uses sodium hydro-chloride solution, would assist the state government alongside other measures put in place to curb the spread of the virus.

The Oba commended Governor Wike for his pragmatic approach in the fight against corona virus in the state. And the Governor in return, thanked him for his kind gesture at a time such as this.

Representing the Governor of the State, Commissioner for Health, Prof. Princewill Chike, also commended the monarch for the patriotic zeal which inspired him to make the donation.

Governor Wike noted that the innovation that harnessed the talents of youths to fabricate the machine deserved to be emulated.

He then urged Nigerian youths to use the Covid-19 period to look for innovative ways to be productive in the society.

He also pledged that the machines would be put into judicious use by the relevant government agencies for the overall benefit of Rivers citizens.
