Okorocha Absent as INEC Issues Certifiate to Senators-Elect

Governor Rochas Okorocha was absent as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, issued certificates of return to senators elect at the International Conference Center, Abuja today, Thursday 14, March, 2019.

As you may know, Okorocha was declared winner of the Imo West Senatorial District. An announcement INEC later reversed, stating that it was done under duress by its returning officer, Prof. Francis Otunta.

Governor Okorocha now faces been replaced by his closes rival in the Senatorial race, or hopefully, a re-run, which only lies in the hands of INEC to Conduct.

By snubbing his name during the presentation of the certificates of return, its now clear the electoral umpire has no option to consider as to pad in Okorocha’s name.
