It was a sad tuesday for men of the Nigerian Air force, as they regrettably announce the unfortunate passing of one of their own, flying officer Tolulope Arotile. Who died due to complications from a head injury sustained from a road traffic accident at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) base Kaduna.

Flying officer Tolulope was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in September 2017 as a member of Nigerian Defence Academy Regular Course 64. Against all odds she graduated top of her class to become the first female combat helicopter pilot in the service.

During her short stay in service she contributed remarkably to the fight against insurgency, bandits and other criminal elements terrorizing the  North Central states, by flying so many combat missions under operation GAMA AIKI in Mina, Niger State capital.

She dead at the age of 24, and she was a native of Kogi state.

We pray God grant her family the strength to bear this loss, may her soul find rest.
