JUST IN: EFCC Obstruct bags of cash meant for vote-buying in Benue

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has intercepted loads of cash in a bag at North Bank Area of Makurdi, Capital of Benue state.

The cash are alleged to be used for vote-buying the area. When operatives of the EFCC attempted to arrest those arrested with the cash, thugs attacked them and even vandalised the bus used for patrol.

The tensed atmosphere led to closure of voting processes in the area.

Arctic Reporters had reported to you that President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife Aisha have both cast their votes in Daura.

The president arrived his polling unit at around 8:00am today.
