I Cannot Lose, Okowa Declares After Voting in Delta

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has expressed optimism that he will emerge  victorious in the governorship election held in Delta state today.

The governor who is also the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the state said this after casting his vote at at Unit 3, Ward 2, Ika North-East Local Government Area.

He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for their job so far, especially for deploy ing members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at each polling unit.

The Governor stated that in a clear contest ground, no candidate of any politcal party can defeat him but that he is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that security  agencies handle alleged thugs who plan to disrupt elections in the state.

In his words:

“By the grace of God, I will emerge victoriously; I have partnered with Deltans, I have worked with them, and by God’s grace, a lot of them will vote for me.

“The only thing we are doing is to ensure that those who planned to use thugs to disrupt the elections will be handled by the security agencies”

Govenor Okowa is in the contest  to retain his seat which is eyed by Mr. Great Ogboru of the All Progressive Congress.
