ELECTION NEWS: Stop Announcing Results – PDP Orders INEC

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has called on INEC to immediately stop announcing results of the Presidential elections which took place on Saturday 23, February 2019.

This was made known by the Deputy Director General of the PDP Campaign Organization, Mr. Tanimu Turaki, during a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday.

Turaki said that the call was necessitated by evidences his party possess that smart Card Readers where tampered with and reconfigured.

He further decried the cancellation of some votes in Zamfara, Borno and Yobe states by their respective State Collation Officers.

Mr. Turaki further disclosed that their were no elections in the North Eastern and North Western states. The Deputy DG further accussed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of collaborating with the ruling APC to provide results in the aforementioned states.

Although Turaki failed to provide evidence, he said that 157,000 votes which were cancelled in Nasarawa were uncalled for and ordered for the votes to be counted.

He further demanded that the 79,000 votes declared by INEC as invalid are actually valid for Kogi state.
70,000 votes when for the Plateau state, particularly in Jos North, PDP said over 30,000 votes were arbitrarily cancelled as well as 27,000 votes in FCT.
