ELECTION NEWS: PDP Snubs Signing Presidential Result on three grounds

The Main opposition party in the Presidential elections which held on Saturday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has rejected signing the results which saw Buhari emerge as the winner of the polls.

The Party agent, Mr. Osita Chidoka, stormed out of the INEC National Collation Centre, Abuja, when INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu, began calling on Party agents to come sign the Presidential results.

Addressing newsmen briefly after he left the hall, Chidoka, who is a former Minister of of Aviation said that his party, the PDP, frowns on the result announced by INEC and that it totally rejects the results on three grounds.

The first ground is that the party expected that INEC would have projected the result of the Smart Card Readers used for accreditation of voters.

The second ground is that there is a huge difference between the accredited voters and the total votes cast which came to about 750,000 votes,  an issue which requires to be looked at and;

thirdly, The PDP believes that INEC needs to look at the cancellations that took place in the election impacting 2.7 million.
