Jonathan voted at around 9:30am in unit 39, Ward 13 at the Otazi Playground, Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa, his wife voted at 9:32 a.m, then his mother followed.

Jonathan stressed that the only way right candidates can emerge is by credibility in the polls. Jonathan said that if the election is marred by restiveness and violence then eventually, the wrong people will get into office and the Nations development will be hampered.
