ELECTION NEWS: INEC Postpones Adamawa Assembly Election [See Reason]

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postpone elections for Nasarawa/Binyeri Federal Constituency of Adamawa State. 

The Commission took the stand following the death of the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress and also incumbent Member representing the constituency,  Mr Adamu Kwanate.

Mr. Kwanate collapsed during one of his campaigns lately and was confirmed dead later in a hospital in capital, Yola.
INEC’s Resident Electoral Officer in the state, Mr. Kashim Gaidam, made this known to news men on Thursday.

Mr. Kashim said the essence of the suspension was to give room for the APC to field in a new candidate for the election.

Arctic Reporters had also told you that seven states will not participate in the governorship and state houses of assembly elections on Saturday 9, March 2019.

This is as a result of the governorship elections of the state been held at different times due to past alterations in the system, mostly as court interventions.
