ELECTION NEWS: Aisha Celebrates Buhari’s Victory, Throws Party

Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, has thrown a victory party in honor of the outcome of the presidential elections which saw her husband re-elected as President.

Mrs. Aisha threw the party at the official residential base of the President. The party saw in attendance women who share in the joy of the President and his wife in relation to their victory in remaining at the Aso Rock Villa.

The women, who converged on the official residence of the family at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, also joined the family in prayers for God guidance and protection.

You may recall that in the build up to the election, Aisha called on Nigerians to cease the opportunity to choose between poverty and wealth, a statement which drew strong criticism by the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, who leveraged on the statement to imply that Nigerians should vote out her husband for making Nigeria, World Poverty Capital.

Also, during the polls on Saturday, President Muhammadu Buhari openly expressed that he lacks trust in the choice of his wife voting him during the polls, he even had to spy her ballot paper to ascertain her stance in the election.
